The Widow Series

Veuve Clicquot

Helping Veuve Clicquot reach a younger audience

Veuve Clicquot came to us with a challenge: how do we become the brand of choice for a different kind of customer whilst retaining the heritage of the brand? So, we thought what better way to do this than curate an event in honour of Madame Clicquot herself?

The event, aptly named The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series, was launched in October 2015, with curation by SHOWstudio founder Nick Knight and followed by FKA Twigs’ ‘ROOMS’ creation in 2016. The 2017 three-day experience ‘SEVEN’ was the creation of ex-Paris Vogue editor and fashion giant Carine Roitfeld. The immersive installation, across four floors at a hidden and subterranean venue, brought to life Carine’s dark and elaborate vision of the seven deadly sins and their contrasting virtues. Carine’s enviable black book was fully utilised throughout the project with Tom Ford, FENDI, Atsuko Kudo and Gianvito Rossi all involved as collaborators.
