Mission was tasked with launching a sustainable five-year PR campaign to increase sales of wool. The Campaign involved incentivising clothing producers to use wool and encouraging consumers to buy wool. It also required Mission to engage directly with consumers and media to put the fabric back onto the news agenda across the UK
Now in its fifth year, the annual campaign culminates in Wool Week, which runs a number of events across the UK. These have included a Savile Row Field Day featuring a herd of sheep and events at over 125 retail brands across the UK
Mission reports into the Campaign for Wool committee and coordinates all press releases, crisis management documents, additional Q&As, media briefs for committee members, and wool fact-sheets. Mission also manages all media and public enquiries before, during and post Wool Week
Mission secured long-lead media coverage through diary items, features and news stories on The Campaign for Wool. We have also secured national short-lead and broadcast media coverage through features, news, diary and picture stories
Each year, coverage builds on the success of the last. Mission has achieved coverage on The Campaign for Wool across a range of media and broadcast, including trend stories in The Guardian, The FT, The Times and The Observer
