Festival No.6 2014
Over the weekend of the 5th, 6th and 7th September the multi-award winning Festival No.6 took place, in the stunning village of Portmeirion, Wales, home of the cult TV series The Prisoner.
Headline acts Pet Shop Boys, Beck and London Grammar all featured amongst the list of musical acts, however music was just one element of the festival offering with arts and culture also playing a huge part. This year’s cultural line-up included Charlie Higson (The Fast Show), a Dylan Thomas tribute featuring Kevin Allen, Rhys Ifans and Murray Lachlan Young, an exclusive Shane Meadows screening and the return of Bryyhoniaid Welsh Male Voice Choir, there was a bigger food line-up than last year, with appearances from Michelin starred chefs and top food writers too.
The stellar bill performed across the entire site, from the historic town hall to the Colonnade gardens, to the picturesque Esturay Stage and the promenade along the river, against the back drop of neo-classical architecture, sandy beaches and palm trees.
