Matalan launches Alphabet Scarves charity campaign for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital
On Tuesday 28th October, Matalan launched their largest Christmas charity campaign to date. Supported by an impressive list of global celebrities including Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Justin Bieber and Wayne Rooney. Matalan are raising money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital through the sale of their Alphabet Scarves.
The celebrities, alongside ambassadors and patients of Alder Hey, have been showing their support for the campaign by wearing scarves with their initial displayed and sharing their scarfies online.
The Alphabet Scarves, which have also been modeled by the likes of Abbey Clancy, Lea Michelle and Helen Mirren are on sale online and at Matalan stores across the UK. The scarves are available in a variety of seasonal colors and priced at £10 for adult scarves and £5 for the children’s scarves with 100% of profits going straight to Alder Hey.
The money raised by the Alphabet Scarves campaign will go towards a new state-of-the-art children’s hospital, education and research centre ‘Alder Hey in the Park.’ Planned to open in 2015, Alder Hey’s ‘hospital in the park’ will bring together excellent care and technology in the best possible healing environment for children and their families.
