Matalan has teamed up with a host of global celebrities, including Britney Spears, Dame Judi Dench and Little Mix to raise funds and awareness for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity. More than thirty international celebrities, from footballers to actors, singers to businesspeople, have taken part in the new campaign, choosing whether to wear a beanie or a bobble hat.

Jason Hargreaves, Managing Director for Matalan said: “We can all relate to these light hearted family differences over the festive season and this is what inspired us to develop the Beanie vs Bobble campaign. We are thrilled to be working with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital charity to raise funds for their incredibly important work.”

The Beanie and Bobble hats are available in six vibrant colours, for both adults and children, and all profits will once again go to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity. The money raised by Beanie vs Bobble will go towards the new research, education and innovation centre in the state of the art ‘Alder Hey in the Park’. Alder Hey opened Europe’s only children’s ‘hospital in a park’ this autumn, bringing together excellent care, technology and design to provide the best possible healing environment for children and their families.

The first phase is well underway and the funds raised by Beanie vs Bobble will contribute towards furthering this development.
