On 30th April, Battersea Power Station Development Company (“BPSDC”) teamed up with Mission to organise their inaugural annual party, an event to celebrate the iconic building’s ongoing development and welcome its future community.

The power station, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in the 1930s, was the perfect setting for a one-off Elton John performance. Coloured lights illuminated the building’s dramatic chimneys during Elton’s electrifying performance of all his classics. Famous guests included Grace Jones, Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans, who were caught swaying to ‘Your Song’ and ‘Tiny Dancer’ as they looked through the glass ceiling at the towering development.

Earlier in the night, Tom Odell warmed up the crowd playing favourites from his debut album, Long Way Down, while guests sipped on Veuve Clicquot and tucked into treats from top London restaurants L’Anima, Benares, Brindisa and Caravan. The perfect way to fuel up for a night of dancing and singing along with the Rocket Man!
