On Monday, 1st September, Microsoft Mobile Devices and La Blogothèque hosted the fifth and final instalment of the 2014 Lumia Live Sessions. Soul sensation Kwabs headlined the event in Manchester with support from Rudimental-collaborator Sinead Harnett.

The location of the venue, within the derelict Chadderton Baths, is in keeping with the ethos of Lumia Live Sessions – bringing emerging artists to unusual locations and giving fans a unique live music experiences.

The Lumia Live sessions are a celebration of Microsoft’s love of music discovery, bringing to life the essence of its free music streaming service, MixRadio, the number one music streaming service for commuters. MixRadio, available on all Lumia smartphones, offers offline capabilities ensuring that listeners can enjoy their favourite music for free, even without signal or WiFi.

Lumia Live Manchester marks the fifth session of 2014 and follows Ella Eyre, who wowed fans in a fairground museum in Devon, and electro soul three piece, Years & Years, who performed beneath the streets of London in the abandoned Aldwych underground station. Jagwar-Ma performed in a Bristol court and Little Green Cars wowed the crowd in a gothic chapel in Dublin.
