The Future Of Social Media Report, Developed By Nokia

March 21, 2011, by kaydine

Generation @ – a new generation of digitally savvy 16-24 year olds – will use social media channels such as Facebook to manage their finances, purchase products and attract potential employers according to the Future of Social Media Report by Nokia.

The Future of Social Media Report, developed by Nokia in association with think-tank Future Foundation, is one of the largest studies ever undertaken on social media and smartphone usage in Europe.

The research reveals that not only will banking and shopping be increasingly conducted through social networking sites but 128m Europeans (40%) will have a social network profile by 2015 and Facebook accounts will compete with email as a core form of communication. With a one-touch social media function, Nokia C7 users can easily receive live feeds from Facebook and Twitter directly to the device’s home screen, and can easily update their own status across these social networks.

Looks like the future really is in the palm of their hands!
