To raise consumer awareness of Turner Classic Movies’ ‘Western Week’, Mission enlisted actor Ray Winstone and Jerry Hall to launch the campaign.
The multi-faceted media campaign for Western Week was driven through comprehensive media placements across print, broadcast and online outlets. This was achieved by using interview time with Ray and Jerry alongside incredibly strong press images. To ensure the TCM’s messaging about their Western Week reached the targeted audience, Mission also organised an action packed press trip to a ranch in Montana, USA. Flying out seven key, influential journalists from the British press and showing them the time of their lives, City Slickers style!
The press trip subsequently secured TCM large features, including a 6-page feature in The Sunday Times Magazine written by award winning journalist Bryan Appleyard.
Beyond the consumer and entertainment press activity the team, knowing the importance of B2B and trade press for broadcasters, also organised a western saloon themed night at a bar in Central London – even choreographing a bar brawl complete with sugar glass beer bottles!
